The mixing tank, also known as a stirring tank or batching vessel, is a top-opening, three-layer structure with a sloping bottom. It features automatic heating and temperature control, heat preservation, and stirring functions; it boasts advantages such as rapid heat transfer, adaptability to large temperature differences, and easy cleaning.
It is widely used in the food (dairy), pharmaceutical, daily chemical, beverage, oil, chemical, and pigment industries as an intermediate buffer, liquid storage, stirring, and blending equipment (this equipment is the most economical and practical when materials can be uniformly blended without heating), for heating, mixing, or sterilization. It is particularly suitable for small- and pilot-scale applications in units and research institutions without steam heat sources. Fully enclosed or insulated structures can be adopted according to process requirements.
